Biography

Arsen Gushapsha was born in 1963 in the hamlet of Kenzhe, Nalchik, in the Republic of Kabardino- Balkaria in The Russian Federation.

1981 Graduated from the Moscow Art School of the Moscow State University of Art “V.I. Surikov”

1987 Graduated from the Moscow State University of Art “V.I. Surikov”

1987 Awarded a Gold Medal by the Academy of Arts of the USSR for his graduation sculpture “Thirst”

1991 Apprenticeship in Italy

2006 Elected member of the “Russian Union of Artists”

2010 Elected member of the “International Federation of Artists”, Russia

2010 Awarded a Gold Medal by the “International Federation of Artists”, Russia for his work in Contemporary sculpture.

2012 Elected Corresponding Member of the “Russian Academy of Arts”
